Establishing signal
Marketplace / Open call
The ZIKADA marketplace is application-only. Here is what a seller account gets you, what it costs and how the review actually works — before you sign in to send one.
Approval creates your public shop page at zikada.io/artists/your-slug, carrying your releases, your work and your profile.
The same decision grants your artist role and opens the portal, where you manage your shop, your catalogue and your listings.
Buyers pay through FoxPay, the platform's own payment provider. You do not connect a processor or run one yourself.
None
There is no listing fee on the platform, per item or per month.
Published before launch
One rate for the whole marketplace. It is still an open decision, and it will be published before the marketplace launches.
Nothing
Applying costs nothing, and nothing is charged to open a storefront.
WAV, FLAC and MP3, with stems alongside the release. A paid order hands the buyer their download straight away — there is nothing for you to pack or post.
Records, tapes, prints and clothing are the next counter to open. Fulfilment is unfinished, so the order pipeline still skips physical items and a physical listing cannot reach a buyer yet.
Shop name, the shop URL you want, your discipline, at least one portfolio link and a short introduction. The application is tied to a ZIKADA account, so you sign in first.
Every application is reviewed by hand by a platform admin. Nothing is approved automatically, and a reviewer may come back to you for more detail before deciding.
Approved, declined, or held for more detail — each one reaches you as an email and an in-app notification. An approval also creates your storefront and lets you into the artist portal.
We do not publish a review time, so there is no date to hold us to — but every outcome reaches you, not only an approval. If a reviewer asks for more detail, send it to us at /contact: a submitted application cannot be edited, and a second one would clash with the shop URL the first already holds. Same place if you have been waiting and want a status.
The form itself needs a ZIKADA account: the application is filed against it, and it is where an approval lands. Signing in brings you straight back to this page.
No account yet? The same screen has a sign-up tab.
